Eagles and Ag..Well Some Birds and Scenery..
Our second annual trip to gorgeous Carson Valley, Nevada to see bald eagles munching on cow placentas...and other things. Unfortunately the ongoing drought means many big changes in both numbers and behavior of the entire ecosystem, so while we saw a few eagles from very far away, nobody was munching on any after birth..Bummer. Lisa and I went with some good friends from the Bay area and the weather and scenery were fantastic, even if the birds weren't all the evident. We did see some owls, cows and had a fun falconry exhibition. Enjoy the pics, and I hope next winter there is a lot more rain/snow and the ecosystem can get back towards normal around here.
